2 Turkish military pilots survive jet crash

An official says a Turkish military fighter jet has crashed during training in eastern Turkey and both pilots survived the accident.
Gov. Mehmet Ulvi Saran of the Malatya province says the pilots parachuted to safety moments before the F-4 Phantom jet crashed Thursday after takeoff from the Erhac Air Base. He says the pilots have been hospitalized.
Local authorities say the plane crashed into an empty field near the village of Misirdere of the town of Yazihan. The cause of the crash in clear skies was not clear.

Die Pilotin und der Co Pilot konnten sich via Schleuder sizt retten.
Die Machine gehörte zu 7 te Jet Ana Hava Üssü

genauergesagt ist die Absturzstelle in Misirdere/Malatya. Der Grund des Absturzes sei noch unklar. Die zwei Piloten wurden ins nächst gelegene Krankenhaus gebracht. Die Phantom kam aus der Erhac AB.

Goodrich Signs Long-Term Agreement with Alp Aviation for F-35 Lightning II Work

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- Goodrich Corporation signed a long-term agreement with Turkey’s Alp Aviation for F-35 Lightning II landing gear components and assemblies. The agreement covers deliveries through December 31, 2015.

Under the agreement, Alp Aviation will supply machined components ranging from aluminum parts to high strength steel components and assemblies that incorporate some of the latest landing gear processing technology. These components will be delivered to Goodrich Landing Gear’s final assembly facility in Cleveland, Ohio. Goodrich is the exclusive system integrator and supplier of landing gear for all variants of the F-35.

Mike Brand, president of Goodrich Landing Gear, said, “This agreement is a significant milestone in our excellent relationship with Alp Aviation that began in 2006. Their capability with the latest technologies along with their culture of teamwork meets our requirement to find best value supplier solutions for complex landing gear components.”

Goodrich supplies a number of critical systems for the F-35 including the air data system, weapons bay door drive system, landing gear, fuel quantity and engine sensors, and actuation systems. Production takes place at Goodrich facilities in F-35 partner nations Australia, Canada, the UK and U.S.

Turkey, Telespazio Ink Satellite Deal

ANKARA - Turkey's defense and procurement authorities have finalized a critical deal with an Italy-based company for the construction and launching of the country's first military satellite.

The 250 million-euro ($390 million) contract was signed here July 16 at a ceremony attended by top Turkish officials and company representatives. The attendees included Turkish Defense Minister Vecdi Gonul and chief procurement official, Murad Bayar.

Turkish officials earlier said they would start contract negotiations with Telespazio, a unit of Italy's defense giant Finmeccanica, for the satellite program, dubbed Gokturk. The contract signing completed the tender process.

The agreement covers the supply of an Earth-observation satellite equipped with a high-resolution optical sensor, an integration and test center for satellites to be built in Turkey, and the entire ground segment of the system, which will carry out in-orbit operation, data acquisition and processing.

Telespazio is the prime contractor. Thales Alenia Space, owned by French Thales (67 percent) and Finmeccanica (33 percent), will be responsible for the satellite. Local industrial partners include Tusas Turkish Aerospace Industries, a satellite unit of the state scientific research institute TUBITAK, and defense companies Maleri, Aselsan and Roketsan. Telespazio will also be responsible for the satellite launch, early orbit and test services.

Under the program, the Turkish industry will be involved at the system design and development phase and in supplying some subsystems. In particular, local partners will assist in the building of the data acquisition station, the satellite integration center, mission planning systems and remotely sensed data processors.

Es handelt sich definitiv um eine modernisierte F-4E 2020.
Somit ist es die vierte Maschine dieser Art.
Die letzten drei Abstürze zuvor waren folgende (mit entsprechenden Kennungen).

11.11.2002 (73-1018)
12.01.2004 (73-1032)
17.03.2009 (68-0528)

Beim letzten Absturz letzte Woche am 24. Juli befand sich der Jet wie bereits aufgeführt bei einem Übungsflug.
Die Pilotin (Hauptmann) sowie der Flugschüler (Leutnant) überlebten wie gesagt per Schleudersitz.

Demnächst kommt die Bestätigung der Kennung der letzten Maschine.

Somit besitzt die Türkei nur noch 50 x F-4E 2020, ich behaupte mal praktisch von der modernsten Modell der Phantomserie.
