How are the most recent changes made visible in the SKYBIRD - VISITORS & MOVEMENTS DRESDEN overview?

For example; SKYBIRD´s VISITORS & MOVEMENTS DRESDEN 1980 was updated on October, 03rd 2020.
But was was updated?

never......
I added overhaul events of Mi-2 from East German AF at FWD and the MiG-15/17 deliveries to Mozambique, Guinea Bissau and so on....
So, nothing what should be interesting for you.....
but:
1989 - I added the last MiG-21US of Egypt AF
between 1983 and 1985 I added 2 missing egypt F-13 and one 21R.

between 1970 and 1973: A lot of Egypt Mig´s are missing. I'm still looking for the exact dates of arrival and departure. A few are already online

Around 1982 are two egypt F-13´s are still missing - the serials not known.....

expect 1970 to 1973 and the two F13 all arabian visitors at FWD are online!

I´m on the way.....

I have to check everything. . . :crying:

But of course I want to compliment you on your fantastic work.
By putting this information on the internet, you give access to very useful MiG-serial information :welle: :TOP:

The MiG-21MT-designation is mentioned between 1975 and 1979 (Egypt and Syria Air Force aircraft).
Could these be batch 41 and 42 (mfd 2Q-1971) MiG-21MFT (type 96B) aircraft but retrofitted before delivery with a regular MiG-21MF-dorsal spin?
C/n 4206 is a known Egypt AF MiG-21MF.

Jeroen

Thx Jeroen for your warm words, it is a hard work.... but I see white light.....

You are lucky, I did´nt scrapped by paper notes...:

MiG-21R is 8511
F-13 are 5585 and 5588
last US 5637 - I´m not sure, it is the last? :confused1:

To technical issues I have no ideas - I scapped them during my apprenticeship - that´s it.....

by the way: F13 5528 and 5531 are the same c/n.....

In 2021 we will shut down our homepage a while to swing over to an new provider and restart with an other (better) design...
I plan to create than an side as overview with all arabian MiG´s (from FWD) and her serials and c/n´s.... Hopefully I find so long some more datas to the years 1970 to 1974....

Hi,

Syrian MiG-21 471 has both a MiG-21MT and MiG-21MF designation!!!
What could be an explanation?
09.06.1977 MiG-21MT 471 Syrian Air Force to FWD (by ship & train)
00.10.1977 MiG-21MF 7615* (original 471) Syrian Air Force acceptance flights 3x
00.11.1977 MiG-21MF 7615* (original 471) Syrian Air Force acceptance flights 2x
00.11.1977 MiG-21MT 471 Syrian Air Force ex FWD (by ship & train)

It happend several times that a certain aircraft appeared in FWD documents with different version designation. Looks like this information was not taken taken from original aircraft documents from time to time (maybe they were not delivered by the user in some cases). So the more interesting question from my side is: is there any evidence that more than 15 MiG-21MT (the official figure from all sources I know) were built?

Hi,
by the way: F13 5528 and 5531 are the same c/n.....
On documents in the FWD-archive, both planes have the same c/n mentioned?

In 2021 we will shut down our homepage a while to swing over to an new provider and restart with an other (better) design...

Could you please share some c/n information?
I would like to get some more info about the MiG-21MT aircraft, like a copy of a document which clearly shows the MiG-21MT designation.

Official figures from all sources report that only 15 MiG-21MT were built.
So by checking the c/n documentation in the FWD-archive of Egypt and Syrian AF MiG-21MT aircraft, we could see if this claim is true.
And maybe, these were indeed MiG-21MT (type 96B) aircraft but retrofitted before delivery with a regular MiG-21M-dorsal spin?

sorry - my mistake - 471 is an MT - corrected
5637 is the last US of Egypt at FWD - came in 05.03.1990

there are no more documents for overhaul from 1961 until 1982 - all scrapped.

This lists is one small peace of work for my hobby. And only this lists - no more. Sorry, but you must wait for 2021......

Hi,

Mistakes are always possible.
Making mistakes is part of what makes us human?

I focus on Arab MiGs. I put all your Skybird FWD-info in a database. That is the reason that I encounter these kinds of small errors.

27.04.1973 MiG-21U-600 292 NVA, ex FWD
27.04.1973 MiG-21US 218 NVA, to FWD
14.04.1973 MiG-21PF 8003 Egypt Air Force, to FWD
24.04.1973 Antonov An-12BP SU-... Egypt Air Force, -25.04.
17.04.1973 MiG-17F (Lim5) 314 NVA, to FWD (testbed modification "Mars")
16.04.1973 VEB IL-14P(T) 405 NVA, ex FWD

14.04.1973 should be 24.04.1973 ?
