McDonnell F-4 Phantom Spirit in the Skies schrieb:
The Air Force ordered its first slat modification kits in April 1972, and the first retrofit was completed at the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB, Utah. 69-7524 made its first flight with slats on 28 September 1972. Three hundred and four early USAF F-4Es were eventually retrofittetd with slats, comprising virtually all survivors with the exception of those aircraft used by the "Thunderbirds" team.
