Hier einmal etwas zur Entwicklungsgeschichte der Su-25 und die Forderungen an Sukhoi.

Erst jetzt waren die Vorgaben für Mach 0,82 tatsächlich erfüllt. In etwa 10 km Höhe entspricht das in etwa 870 km/h.
Es ist schon auffällig das sich zwar einige Personen dazu äußern, dass eine Su-25 Höhen über 10 km erreichen kann und dabei die maximal mögliche Geschwindigkeit unterschlagen.
Bei einer nur möglichen Annäherung auf gleicher Flughöhe (Typical Cruise Speed at 35,000 feet, 0.84) auf Gegenkurs ergibt sich eine Annäherungsgeschwindigkeit von > Mach 1,6 oder hier > 1700 km/h. Das sind mehr als 28 km pro Minute und dann wird schnell klar das ohne Bodenleitung da überhaupt nichts läuft.
