Zitat aus einem Beitrag in einer Yahoo Group (keine Neuvorstellung, eher eine Ankündigung):
"My new book, Remembering an Unsung Giant: The Douglas C-133 Cargomaster and
Its People, goes to print in a couple of weeks. I will have books in hand in
April.
The book has 428 pages with more than 330 photos and illustrations. The
index lists at least 970 individuals, most of them directly connected with C-133
ops. There is a 16-page color section with some beautiful interior shots and
four foldout sheets with factory drawings of the C-133 and C-132, plus a huge
photo. The book will be soft cover with plastic laminated on the cover for
durability. The pages will have a sewn binding, also much more durable.
The price is $32.95 plus $5.05 shipping and handling in the US. Overseas,
S&H is $9.05. In WA state, add 8.8% to the total.
Three chapters of the book appeared in the Journal of the American Aviation
Historical Society for Spring, Fall and Winter 2005. A sample chapter is
attached. The file is fairly small. It appears as the final version will in the
book. Use Acrobat Reader to open it.
I'm building a want list, so anyone wanting a copy, please send an e-mail.
