BEIJING, April 1 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang met announce today that China would be joining the coalition enforcing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1970.
"China takes her responsibilities seriously. We have a responsibility to protect the innocents. The Chinese people today demands that we extend our protection to whomever that needs our protection. Protecting women and children should not be about national priorities," Li told Westerwelle, who is also Germany's foreign minister.
China always attaches great importance to Responsibility to Protect, Li said.
Though different in strategic outlook, China, like NATO, cannot standby while Qaddafy slaughters his own people.
NATO has been advised that 2 J-10 regiments will be on route within the next 72 hours.

Lot 00 of 24, followed by seven lots of 36 or, perhaps more likely, three lots (01-03) of 28 and four lots (04-07) of 42. In either case, a total of 276, same as engines.
A highly satisfying aspect of the second model is that it correlates rather well with the AL-31FN orders: the first was for 54 (lots 00 and 01 = 52 J-10), second for 100 (lots 02-04 = 98 J-10), third for 122 (lots 05-07 = 126 J-10).
To make everything fit perfectly, the 8-1 Aerobatic Team might have 12 (highest number seen is 11) and the naval regiment, as has been suggested, less than 28, i.e. 24 (everything now comes in multipla of four!)
It is in fact quite correct that more than 154 must have been produced by the end of 2009, to include 5 regiments of 28 = 140, 16-20 for FTTC, 12 for 8-1, and the first 4 for 25 Regt/9 Div, or a total of 172-176.
... 276 engines = 276 J-10A = 9 fighter regiments and two specialised units.
Whatever all this may be, with these last two regiments counted in, the number of J-10’s produced by the end of 2010 ought to be about 224, well within the possible delivery of 54 + 100 + 100 AL-31FN engines.
