So kenne ich es auch. Die NASA hatte bis 1999 im Dryden Flight Research Center noch eine SR-71 LASRE in Betrieb. Die beiden anderen Maschinen (64-17956 / #831 und 64-17971 / # 832) waren in einem flugfähigen Zustand, aber eingemottet, ehe sie 2002 dann an andere Museen abgegeben wurden. Nur die SR-71A 64-17980 steht noch als Ausstellungsstück im NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, mit der NASA Nummer #844.
