CRASH:Mirage F1
A fighter crashed yesterday on the hippodrome of the city of
Mount-of-Marsan, in the south-west of France, wounding horses. The pilot
who ejected "fighter of the type Mirage F1 in return of air surveillance
mission" "was recovered healthy and except by the medical personnel of
the air base", indicated the French Air Force. The remains of the
apparatus on the other hand ran up against a sheltering box of the
horses and "an animal had to be put down by a veterinary surgeon",
specified the Air Force. "There was no race today on the hippodrome,
otherwise there would have surely been casualties", indicated on its
side the departmental service of the firemen, which ensures that "au
less two wounded horses had to be cut down ". "the plane had two bombs
on board and of the small shells were scattered on the racecourse", also
affirmed the firemen, specifying that the service of mine clearance had
been called to intervene on the spot of the accident.
Here's the original French (which probably makes more sense!)
