Groups of F-15 and F-16 fighter jets will be training out of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base for the next month, along with a visiting group of A-10s, officials said.
Twelve F-15E Strike Eagles from Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., arrived at the Tucson base Jan. 6 and will train here until Jan. 20, D-M officials said. Operations at the base have been effected by a winter storm that dropped several inches of snow earlier this week.
Six F-16 Fighting Falcons from the 162nd Wing, Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center, which usually fly out of Tucson International Airport, arrived Jan. 6 and will train at D-M until Jan. 25.
Six F-16 Fighting Falcons from the Royal Netherlands Air Force will train in Tucson from Jan. 26 until Feb. 23.
Also, 12 A-10C Thunderbolt IIs from the 107th Fighter Squadron, Michigan Air National Guard, will train here Jan. 28 until Feb. 11.
