Eines der Flugzeuge war ein Tornado" Kampfflugzeug, bei dem anderen handelt es sich vermutlich um einen F-16 Kampfbomber. Die F-16 wurde über Bagdad abgeschossen und ist wahrscheinlich in einer Wüste im Südirak abgestürzt. Eine Rettungsexpedition der Koalition wurde sofort in diese Gegend ausgesandt.

The S-3B was the last plane to be recovered in its flight cycle. A helicopter from HS-2 “Golden Falcons” was performing search and rescue operations for the flight cycle and arrived on scene immediately. Heute ist auch ein Cobra vom Himmel gefallen, so zumindest das Centcom:

Near Samarra, IRAQ _ A Marine AH-1 Cobra crashed at approximately 9:00 a.m. today conducting combat operations here. The pilot and the co-pilot were recovered and suffered minor injuries. The incident was not the result ofhostile fire.
The helicopter is part of Marine Air Group 39 based in Camp Pendleton, California. The cause of the incident is under investigation.

Kurz auf deutsch:
Gegen 0900 ist ein AH-1 bei Samarra abgestürzt, Besatzung hat mit elichten Verletzungen überlebt. Nach Angaben des Centcoms erfolgte der Vorfall allerdings nicht durch feindliches Feuer.
Normalerweise gehört die Mixer zur Marine Air Group 39.

Die sollen ja aufpassen! Das Ölministerium in Bagdad wird seit der 1. Stunde durch die USA scharf bewacht!

P.S. es ist bezeichnend, daß die Plünderer von US-Gnaden auch die Gesetzestafeln des Hammurabi mitgenommen haben sollen (Info-Radio) :( ABER steht die Stele nicht im Louvre?
